Fourth Grade All Star Team Competes in Weekend Tourney

The NM 4th grade girls All Star team had a great tournament on Sunday at Newport Harbor High School.
The 10-member team played at full strength winning their first game 22-6 versus a strong Placientia All Star Squad.

“50 State Challenge” Family Rolls Through Corona del Mar
A Florida family of six spent some time this weekend in Corona del Mar as part of a one-year, 50-state road trip.

From the Police Log: Petty Thefts, Lost Property
A petty theft was reported at 901 Newport Center Drive on Sunday afternoon, according to a police report.
The incident occurred at 5:37 p.m. and resulted in a loss of $100. Police reports indicate the crime is connected to another incident, but that report was unavailable.

CERT Drill Held This Weekend
The Newport Beach Community Emergency Response Team gathered Saturday for the “Drill the Skill” class.
More than 100 members of the CERT group attended the training, which was held at the Santa Ana Heights fire station.
