Crystal Cove Park Closes Backcountry Area

The Crystal Cove State Park backcountry area is closed due to rain earlier in the week, according to the park website.
The area is closed for hiking and biking, the site says.
“The coastal area is open. The Beachcomber is open. Cottage reservations intact,” the site says.

About two dozen riders are participating in the Second Annual New Years Eve Bike Safety Ride, which left Corona del Mar about 8:15 this morning.
