Corona del Mar is about five weeks away from a brand-new restaurant that will take over the old El Ranchito space, the new owners said.

The owner of Corona del Mar’s Gallo’s Italian Deli told police that someone stole $1,420 in cash deposit envelopes on Friday morning, according to a police report.
