CdM Middle School To Receive Physical Fitness Honor Today

Corona del Mar Middle School has won a Front Runner Award in the 2009 Governor’s Challenge Competition and will be recognized today at 11:45 in a ceremony at the school’s gym.
The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports will present a $1,000 check, and the school is still in the running for regional recognition and a possible $5,000 additional award.
Former Olympian Peter Vidmar is scheduled to address students, teachers and parents at the ceremony.
