Stolen Puppy Returned to Pet Shop

A miniature pinscher worth $995 was stolen and then returned to a Fashion Island pet shop, police said.
The theft occurred April 18, and police said the thief gave the puppy away. Eventually, a woman who had the dog heard it was stolen and gave it back. Detectives are investigating the case to find the thief, said Lt. Craig Fox.
