This is just another saga in the insidious creep of view blocking bluff top construction in Corona del Mar that began 60+ years ago.

FYI - the next view blocking project appears to be near Marguerite and Ocean Blvd. where a bluff front home recently sold. The roof line of the existing structure is about 10 feet below grade, providing views of the Big Corona area. The new owners will undoubtedly build to the maximum height - thereby taking another slice of the remaining public ocean views.

Maybe it's time for the hundreds of thousands of people from inland and around the world who come to enjoy the public ocean views from the CDM bluffs to stand up and be counted instead of letting a few local residents try to protect the public legacy.

Good reporting on this subject. Seems to me that the McGonigals should be considering legal action of their own about now against the Friends of Begonia Park. Enough is enough.
