More NMUSD Honors: CDM Middle School Principal Of the Year

In addition to Harbor View Elementary School’s principal earning honors from the district and the county, Corona del Mar Middle School Principal Guy Olguin has been named Middle School Principal of the Year, sources said.
The Newport-Mesa Administrators’ Association selected Olguin as the middle school principal of the year, and then a nomination went to the Region 17 division of the Orange County Association of California School Administrators. After winning at the county level, he now will be up for middle school principal of the year for the entire state.
Harbor View Principal Charlene Metoyer also won the Elementary School Principal of the Year for the district and county and is up for the statewide honor.
Jane Garland, at the Newport-Mesa Unified District office was named classified manager of the year. Winners will be honored at a May banquet.
