One Response to “Bye, Bye, B.B.”

Corona del Mar is about to get a whole lot duller when B.B. Simon closes its flagship shop on East Coast Highway early next month.
B.B. Simon opened last April (read our story here), immediately capturing the eyes of passersby with a window filled with glittering crystal-covered frames, candelabras and a $75,000 grand piano.
Owner Simon Tavassoli, who lives in Laguna Beach, began designing belts 20 years ago. (The B.B. stands for “belts by…”) He uses millions of Swarovski crystals each year.
The shop is now having a moving sale, with everything in the store 35 percent off. The shop’s lease is up in February, and the business will move to a showroom in Tustin Ranch. The shop at 3429 East Coast Highway will close on Feb. 5.
