One Response to “The Health Emporium Back in CdM”
Comments

When The Health Emporium shut its doors in August 2007, vitamin-popping Corona del Mar residents were dismayed. How could a furniture shop (later a mattress shop) replace their beloved health food shop and cafe?
The good news is that The Health Emporium quietly reopened last fall, in a small one-room shop in the back of a building at East Coast Highway at Orchid Avenue.
“A lot of people don’t see us,” said nutritionist Tia Korona. “But word of mouth — friends telling friends — is spreading the word.”
Now called The Health Emporium Pantry, the shop is open Monday through Saturday days at 3545 1/2 East Coast Highway. Vitamins and supplements are for sale, along with organic perfumes and concoctions to help your attention span, weight and aging. Korona said she takes nutrition appointments and has been busy lately consulting with a lot of kid clients.
The one-room shop has shelves filled with bottles and jars — but no restaurant. Korona said, however, that they offer a healthy catering service for parties or for families who want personal chef services.
