clip_image0021. Feeling cooped up from all the stormy weather? Make plans to go out, and it’s perfect timing because starting tonight, Restaurant Week is here. That means special deals at about 75 restaurants, including Corona del Mar’s The Port Restaurant, Landmark, The Bungalow, The Crow Bar and Kitchen, Mayur and El Ranchito. (Get a complete list here.) Restaurants have created discounted prix-fixe menus (lunches at $15 or $20 and dinners at $25 or $35). At Port, for example, the restaurant is launching weekend lunch service with a $20 Restaurant Week lunch menu of soup, salad or ahi tartar, salmon, quesadilla or a Middle-Eastern grilled chicken plate, and berries with cream, chocolate mousse cloud or French chocolate cake. Restaurant Week will run through Jan. 28.

2. Sherman Library & Gardens is hosting the 12th Annual Camellia Show on Saturday and Sunday. Even if you’ve never exhibited your blooms before, you can head to the Library between 7 and 10 a.m. Saturday, and the doors will open to the public from 1 to 4 p.m. On Sunday, a mini-exhibition will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and both days, camellia experts will be on hand to answer questions. The show is organized by the Orange County Camellia Society. Sherman Library is located at 2647 East Coast Highway. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children 12 and older; under 12 is free.

3. If the weather is clear, head to Crystal Cove State Park. At 9 a.m. Saturday, you can join a guided 3-to 5-mile hike in the back country and learn more about winter flora and fauna. Meet at the El Moro Visitor Center (inland from Coast Highway at the School-State Park stoplight.) The hike is free but parking is $15 for a day-use pass. The park does close in bad weather — call (949) 494-3539 to check conditions.

4. Rain or Shine, head to Muldoon’s Irish Pub for a free concert by Pinch Me! from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. “Based on the confirmed guest list, this weekend’s performance should bring record numbers of local friends together for a fun experience,” said band member Rick Allen, who has been using Facebook and other social media to get together a huge crowd (so come early to make sure you get a seat.) Muldoon’s is located at 202 Newport Center Drive. For more information, visit the Pinch Me! website.

5. Be on the lookout for Girl Scouts, who will begin selling cookies this weekend.
