Solar Panel Plans Submitted for Irvine Terrace Home

An Irvine Terrace homeowner wants to install solar panels on a slope that extends to Bayside Drive, according to a city memo.
The Newport Beach Building Department staff is reviewing the plans, but the memo states that a 2004 state bill limits what cities can do to limit solar panel installations. The slope is apparently ideal for the system, which would make the home more sustainable and energy efficient.
