According to Newport Beach city staff memos, two different customers have expressed interest in opening a restaurant in the space formerly occupied by Stella’s Cafe, which closed without warning in April.
In the spring, the owners said they were remodeling and would open as soon as they worked out permit issues. The previous business did not have a permit to use a full kitchen, and Stella’s served sandwiches, pastas, pizzas and other Italian food. Read our earlier story here.
The city memo stated that staff provided the two interested customers in with information on the “opeartional characteristics” allowed for the business, which is located at 2756 East Coast Highway.
