Reminder: City Hall To Be Closed Over Holiday

As a cost-saving measure, Newport Beach will close City Hall as well as other city-run program and services from noon Dec. 24 through Jan. 1. City offices will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 4. Library branches also will be closed.

Police and fire will be working, as well as other services that will be limited, such as street sweeping and parking meter collections. City employees that are closed will use accumulated leave time, or take off time without pay.

City officials said that any resident who has a building project that needs an inspection should fill out a request form at the building department before 4:30 Dec. 23.

Also, trash collections scheduled Friday this week and next week will be collected instead on Saturday.
