Newport Beach police have released photographs of two suspects in a violent Newport Coast home invasion robbery.
Ronnie Labert Morrissette, 34, pictured at top, and Darrin Mucker, 37, both of Los Angeles, are wanted on $1 million warrants in connection with the Dec. 8 robbery. Morrisette is described as 6 feet 3 inches tall and 275 pounds, and Mucker is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 190 pounds.
The men are suspected of being part of a group of five men that conspired to commit a robbery on Longboat in a private, gated Newport Coast neighborhood. Three of the men were quickly arrested, but in spite of an overnight search using dogs, helicopters and multiple agencies, two suspects were able to escape. (Read our earlier stories here and here.)
“The follow-up investigation led to the identity of suspects Ronnie Morrissette and Darrin Mucker,” Sgt. Evan Sailor said in a statement. “Detectives have been unable to locate either one of the suspects, and are asking for the public’s help.” Both men should be considered armed and dangerous, Sailor said.
