One Response to “Flower Shop Vandalism Being Treated As Attempted Burglary”
Comments
Newport Beach police are investigating a smashed window at a village flower shop as an attempted burglary, according to police reports.
The would-be burglar apparently broke a ceramic flower pot in front of Five Crowns Restaurant at 3801 East Coast Highway sometime early Sunday. The suspect then crossed the street to 800 Rose Big and used ceramic chunks to break the window, apparently in an effort to steal a flat-screen television set. The shop uses television sets as window displays that show rotating images of floral arrangements.
The damage to the window was set at $1,000, and the damage to the flower pot was $50, records state.
