CCA-Holiday-Tree_Decorations-300x2141. Head to Crystal Cove State Beach for some retro decorations, jazzy live music, sandy snowmen and the lighting ceremony for what organizers say is California’s only seaside Christmas tree. The fun begins with Santa’s visit at 3 p.m. Saturday, and the tree will be illuminated at sunset. Read our earlier story here, or visit the Crystal Cove Alliance website for more information. 2. Newport Beach is bringing back the faux snow this weekend as part of the annual Winter Wonderland scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Bonita Creek Park.

3. Or stay in where it’s warm and dry and visit the Central Library for Family Storytime, which begins at 10:30 a.m. The Central Library is located at 1000 Avocado Ave.

4. Head for the Hurley warehouse sale where everything jackets to board shorts is 50 to 75 percent off. The sale is taking place at 2323 Main Street in Irvine until 8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

5. The Corona del Mar Christmas Walk — Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Beer garden, balloon guys, food samples, holiday decorations, live music from Pinch Me! and Green Room… What more can we say?
