CDMHS Girls Cross Country Victorious

The Corona del Mar High School Girls Cross Country team won again, earning its seventh state championship.
The team competed against 22 other teams comprised of 190 athletes. Melanie Powers, with a time of 17:56, placed third; Kristina Funahashi, with a time of 18:18, place seventh; Marisa Cummings, with a time of 18:27, place thirteenth; Kristen Rivera, with a time of 18:45, placed twenty-eighth; Ali Hummelberg, with a time of 18:54, placed thirty-fourth; Ashlee Powers, with a time of 19:00, placed forty-third; and Sarah Keddington, with a time of 19:22, placed seventy-second. The competition took place in Fresno.
