Volunteers, Donations Sought for Adopt A Family Program

Share Our Selves, a Costa Mesa nonprofit group, needs donors and volunteers for its Adopt A Family program that provides needy family’s at least two gifts for the children as well as a complete holiday meal.

More than 1,650 needy families will be served this holiday season in the Costa Mesa and Santa Ana areas.

Volunteers are needed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 15 and 16, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 17. at the Orange County Fair and Event Center. For more information call (949) 515-5400, ext. 39.

Newport-Mesa Unified School District Superintendent Jeffrey Hubbard and his executive staff have announced that they will be donating money to the SOS program in lieu of exchanging gifts this year, district officials said.
