New Dress Shop Preparing to Open in CdM

LaMonir, an Irvine-based shop that specializes in formal dresses, plans to open its second store in Corona del Mar later this month, the owner confirmed.

The shop will be located at 3419 East Coast Highway. The building was undergoing remodeling when the city issued a Stop Order because of lack of permits. The city issued permits earlier this week, however, and construction has resumed.

Monir Jalili, the owner, said the boutique will sell high-end formal wear for proms, mothers-of-the-brides and more. Jalili is a fashion designer with more than 20 years’ experience. Her name, according to her website, “comes from Persian tradition that means light, energy, symbol of good fortune, love and appreciation.”
