A Newport Beach woman told police that while she was at Irvine Terrace Park last week, someone took her property from a table. The loss, according to a police report, was $21,717.41. The theft occurred sometime between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday. No other details were immediately available.
In other police news, a Corona del Mar woman told police that someone took her purse from under a table at Landmark Restaurant sometime between 1:15 and 1:20 A.M. Saturday. The loss was $953, a police report said. Also vandals used black spray paint to write on a trash can and wall of the Corona del Mar fire station in the 400 block of Marigold Avenue; the incident was reported at 9:47 a.m. Saturday.
Police arrested a Santa Ana man on an immigration hold, records state. The man was arrested at 7:40 a.m. Saturday at East Coast Highway and Newport Coast Drive. A Monrovia woman was arrested at 11 p.m. Thursday on suspicion of grand theft in the 700 block of Newport Center Drive; her bail was set at $20,000 and she had two warrants, records state.
At 11:59 p.m Sunday, police took a report of property damage in the 500 block of Poinsettia Avenue, and at 9 a.m. today, officers took a vehicle theft report in the 400 block of De Sola Terrace.
