Landmark Restaurant’s Car Show, BBQ Raises Money for Cancer

The Landmark Restaurant at 3520 East Coast Highway held a car show on Sunday, featuring high-end cars and a collection of Volkswagen buses in the back lot. The restaurant also was serving barbecue-style food, with 20 percent of sales going Hoag Hospital in honor of a friend of the business who battled successfully against testicular cancer. The man loves cars, said restaurant spokesman David Guerrero, making a car show a perfect way for Landmark to give back. Some of the cars had left for the day by early afternoon, but the fundraising barbecue is continuing until about 6 p.m. For more information, call (949) 675-5556.
