Summer is nearing an end, and the seniors of 2010 are beginning to put their college applications together. The stress piling as they narrow down their list of schools, students are making decisions they felt they had much more time to make. “The college application process is overwhelming. With trying to figure out which schools to apply to, you have to be sure they are the right ones for you,” says Mackenzie Constantinou, a senior at Corona del Mar High School.
Among the class of 2010, many students are considering UCSD, UCLA, UCI and Berkeley. Many are considering out-of-state universities including the Ivy League institutions. Many seniors have said they are nervous about getting letters of recommendations, although many said they had their applications well under control.
