Summer nights are made for staying up late — why not add shopping as six Corona del Mar boutiques plan to keep late hours this Thursday as part of the second-ever Fashion Walk.
Participating boutiques include Westerly, On Que Style, Recycled Rags, Maison Saint Marie, Bellissima Designer Resale Boutique and Mottini Leather. The shops, which normally close at 6 p.m., will stay open until 10 p.m. or later on Thursday and will feature live music, snacks, fashion shows and more.
“We are trying to accomplish letting the local community come into our stores,” said Adriana Spitzer, owner of Bellissima, which is located at 2850 East Coast Highway. “We had such great response last time, we had people pouring out of the store.”
The first Corona del Mar Fashion Walk took place June 12 after the Recycled Rags owner talked to other boutique owners about ways to improve business. The event was so successful that many businesses hope to continue the events throughout the year.
“We’ll have an evening of fun,” Spitzer said.
