Crews set up temporary bathrooms and moved equipment into place at the Little Corona Beach restroom area today, all part of a project that will repair a leak, officials said.

“A small water leak that was spotted coming up through the pavement near the Buck Gully restrooms,” said Tara Finnigan, a city spokeswoman, in an email. “Municipal Operations crews will remove a portion of the slab Tuesday morning, vactor to expose the line, and then make the repair.”

Two portable toilet facilities were delivered Monday because the water will be shut off to the restrooms during the repair work, Finnigan said.

The restroom, which was rebuilt in 2009 during a six-month construction project, had a similar leak three years ago; read our earlier story here.
