“Thank you for your interest in Starbucks,” an email said. “We are always looking for ways to better meet the needs of our customers, and we can confirm that the Corona del Mar location will be opening soon; however, we do not have any additional information to share at this time.”
The renovation began Feb. 18, and while corporate officials have declined to elaborate on the length of the closure, employees said they expected it to take three or four weeks.
Corporate officials also declined to elaborate on specifics of the remodel. But Newport Beach documents and a city spokeswoman said that Starbucks plans included expanding the outdoor patio area, including adding a fire pit, while reducing the interior space; read our earlier story here.
The Corona del Mar Starbucks was the first to open in Orange County in April 1992.
