A vandal caused $5,000 in damage at 7 Corporate Plaza this week, according to a police report.
The vandalism incident was reported at 8:49 a.m. Tuesday and occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday, the report said.
In other police news, police arrested a 49-year-old Lynwood man at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at East Coast Highway and Goldenrod Avenue on suspicion of driving without a suspended license; bail was $30,000, according to a report.
A Capistrano Beach man was arrested at 8:14 a.m. March 2 at Harbor View Drive and Sea Lane on suspicion of driving with a suspended license; bail was $2,500.
A two-car crash occurred at 7:51 p.m. Tuesday at Crystal Heights Drive and East Coast Highway, according to online police logs.
One car overturned, said Newport Beach Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Kitch, in an email, but no one was trapped. One person was assessed at the scene and released, he said, and no one was taken to the hospital by fire officials.
A vehicle and bicyclist crashed at 9:17 a.m. March 2 at Cameo Shores Road and East Coast Highway, police said.
“The call originally came in as a hit and run because it appeared to the caller that the vehicle that struck the bicyclist left the scene,” said police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe in an email. “The driver did not leave the scene and was contacted by officers. Both the bicyclist and the vehicle were traveling eastbound on East Coast Highway when the collision occurred. The bicyclist suffered minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.”
Police took a report of another traffic collision with injuries at 12:12 p.m. March 2 in the 400 block of Marigold Avenue, online logs state.
