A project that will remodel the patio of the Starbucks at East Coast Highway and Goldenrod Avenue is underway.
The work, which is expected to close the coffee shop for about three weeks, will reduce the interior square footage and expand the outdoor area, city officials have said. The work also includes addition of a fire pit.
Starbucks corporate spokesmen have not provided details about the project. But information on the Newport Beach city website indicates that the business applied in August for a permit, and the permit
was approved in September.
