A taxi struck a pedestrian about 7 p.m. today at MacArthur Boulevard and East Coast Highway, according to police.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, authorities said. No other information was immediately available.
“The pedestrian was transported to Western Medical Center with unknown injuries,” said Kathy Lowe, a police spokeswoman, in an email.
A crime scene investigation van as well as several police cars were at the scene, and the right-turn lane from westbound East Coast Highway onto MacArthur was blocked by crime scene tape. A taxi could be seen parked at the side of MacArthur, and several police officers were at the scene.
A crash Friday evening on East Coast Highway and Marguerite Avenue also remains under investigation, but details about that crash were not available earlier today.
