UPDATE: Because of rain, this event has been rescheduled for Feb. 2.

Roger’s Gardens will host its inaugural Day of Art event from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday Jan. 26, organizers announced in an email.

The event will feature 50 artists who will be painting and drawing throughout the day in the gardens, the email said, along with workshops and other events that are free to the public and open to all ages. The Botanical Artists Guild of Southern California also will be on hand, staffing an interactive table that explores “bizarre and unique plants that grow in your garden that can become food on your plate,” Roger’s website states.

Featured artists include Joli Beal, Hal Briscoe, Stephanie Godbey, John Keesey, Vera Spies and more.
