A man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at 9:36 a.m. today at Goldenrod Avenue and East Coast Highway, police said.
“He was standing at the intersection yelling at people,” said Kathy Lowe, a police spokeswoman, in an email. A report identified the man as a 57-year-old Mission Viejo resident, and bail was $500.
In other police news, officers took a report of a residential burglary at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Dahlia Avenue, according to a report. The burglary occurred between 6:30 a.m. Dec. 25 and 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, and the loss was $80. Damage in the incident was listed as unknown. Police also took a report of a vehicle burglary in a parking structure at 600 Newport Center Drive at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday. The loss was $559, a report said.
