From the Police Log: DUI Crash in Shore Cliffs, Theft

A Shore Cliffs man who struck two parked cars then pulled into his garage was arrested on suspicion of DUI, police said.

The incident occurred about 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Evening Canyon Road, online police logs state. A neighbor who saw the crashes called police, who contacted the 57-year-old man and arrested him, said Kathy Lowe, a Newport Beach Police Department suspect.

Police also took a report of a petty theft from a vehicle on Topside Lane, according to a police report. The theft occurred between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday and was reported at 7:37 a.m. Saturday. The loss was $650.

Police arrested a 47-year-old Costa Mesa woman at MacArthur Boulevard and East Coast Highway at 4:13 p.m. Sunday on suspicion of DUI; her bail was $10,000, according to a report. A 21-year-old Costa Mesa man was arrested at Dahlia Avenue and East Coast Highway at 11:18 p.m. Sunday on suspicion of DUI; bail was $15,000. Police also arrested a 54-year-old Santa Ana man at 12:15 p.m. Saturday at Farallon Drive and Avocado Avenue on suspicion of disorderly conduct while intoxicated; bail was $500.

Police took a report of misuse of an access card at Fleming’s at 8:02 a.m. Saturday; the incident, which resulted in a $300 loss, occurred between 5 and 7 p.m. Friday. Police also took a report of a residential burglary on Sail Vista at 6:50 p.m. Saturday. The incident occurred earlier in the day. The loss was unknown, according to a report, but the burglary caused $400 in damage.
