Owners Olivier and Nathalie Bocchino have confirmed a Wednesday opening for the Rendez-Vous restaurant, which replaces Le Petit Bateau at 3330 East Coast Highway.
Rendez-Vous will sell house-made croissants and baguettes as well as coffee drinks, sandwiches, omelets, quiche and more.
The Bocchinos recently moved from Breckenridge, Colo., where they owned a French cafe. The couple, who are from Provence, France, honeymooned in the United States 20 years ago and were surprised that it was impossible to find a real French breakfast; read our earlier story here.
Le Petit Bateau closed in September after six months; it had replaced Pizza Royale, which closed on Dec. 31 after 24 years in business.

Oh, I hope they're going to be open Thursday!!! I always have to go over to C'est Si Bon to get baguettes for my Thanksgiving dinner.
