Lisa Louise Jordan, who was a member of the Corona del Mar Citizens Advisory Panel that created plans for an entryway beautification project, died Saturday after fighting neck and and head cancer. She was 41 years old.

Jordan, who lived in Corona del Mar, was born March 6, 1971. She attended Corona del Mar High School and graduated from Laguna Beach High School, according to online sources. She later studied dance at California State University-Long Beach. She also was a board member at Healing Odyssey, a Lake-Forest based nonprofit organization that provides support for cancer survivors.

Jordan fought head and neck cancer a few years ago, but her health had improved. She volunteered to be a member of the Corona del Mar Citizens Advisory Panel in the summer of 2011. She was the lone dissenting vote in December, when the group approved plans to move a squeeze lane on East Coast Highway and to use the former traffic lane for landscape improvements; read our story here.

Her cancer returned in June.

Tributes to Jordan filled her Facebook page after her death was announced there.

No information was immediately available about a memorial.

Lisa was a dear childhood friend of mine - my thoughts and prayers go out to her family. So sorry for their loss.
