Crews are installing pieces of a pedestrian bridge over San Miguel Drive, with some parts of the roadway closed during construction.

The project is part of the new Civic Center, which will be open for the City Council’s December meeting. Staff will move into the new building later in 2013, but the City Council will continue to hold meetings there, officials have said.

The bridge work has closed lanes of San Miguel between Avocado Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard on Monday and today. More closures are scheduled Thursday and Friday, as well as on Nov. 19 through 21, according to the city’s website.
