Stella’s Cafe Apparently Closed — For Good

stellaIn late April, Stella’s Cafe at 2756 East Coast Highway closed, doors and windows covered with brown paper and a hand-printed sign announcing a remodel.

In May, the owners said they would reopen soon and that they had some issues with their permits because the previous business did not have a permit to use a full kitchen. The restaurant served sandwiches, pastas, pizzas and other Italian food.

This week, however, the remodeling sign is gone and the building has a “For Lease” sign instead. The owners have not responded to repeated emails over several weeks, seeking a comment about whether the business would ever reopen in Corona del Mar.

Stella’s Cafe’s parent restaurant, Stella’s Serious Italian, remains open in Monarch Beach. Read our earlier story about Stella’s in Corona del Mar here.
