From the Police Log: Burglary, Battery, Theft

Newport Beach police took a report of a residential burglary at 1:47 p.m. Thursday in the 3100 block of Third Avenue, online logs state. No other information was immediately available.
Officers also made an arrest after a report of battery at 4:16 p.m.m Thursday in the 2300 block of Bayside Drive, and they made an arrest at 11:06 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of Marguerite Avenue, online logs state.
Police took a report of a petty theft at 11:49 a.m. Thursday at 701 Newport Center Drive, according to a report. The theft occurred between 8 p.m. Oct. 15 and noon Oct. 16 with a $10 loss.
Police also arrested a 44-year-old Newport Beach man at Fernleaf Avenue and Cove Street at 5 p.m. Thursday on suspicion of disorderly conduct while intoxicated. His bail was $500, according to a report.
