Two Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton have been arrested after a bb gun shooting spree that included an incident at the Crystal Cove Gap store, according to a published report and Newport Beach police.

Joseph Nahale, 20, of Fremont and Jesse Ivie, 20, of Gresham, Ore., were arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of felony vandalism and of felony shooting at inhabitant vehicles, according to a report in the Orange County Register.

The men were arrested about 12:55 a.m. Sunday on Pacific Coast Highway at Ritz Carlton Drive. The Register reports that
17 cars and eight businesses were damaged in Laguna Beach, with other incidents in Dana Point, San Clemente and Newport Beach. The Register report said one incident involved shooting at a car in a Dana Point shopping center. An employee on a break was inside the car resting when she heard shots and called for help.

The Newport Beach incident occurred between 7:15 Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday at the Gap store at 8012 East Coast Highway, according to a police report. A security guard noticed the damage and called a store manager, said Kathy Lowe, a Newport Beach Police Department spokeswoman. Damage was $2,000, the report said.
