From the Police Log: Vandalism at Gap, Theft, Burglary Cases

Felony vandalism that caused $2,000 was reported Sunday at the Gap store at 8012 East Coast Highway, according to a police report.

The damage occurred between 7:15 Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday, the report said. An email seeking details about the incident, including whether an arrest was made, was not immediately answered.

Police also took a report of a vehicle burglary at Fifth and Poppy avenues at 3:05 p.m. Saturday. The incident occurred between 2:45 and 2:47 p.m. and resulted in a $10 loss and $100 in damage, a report said. A petty theft occurred between Sept. 27 and 29 at Blue Water Drive and Lighthouse Lane, a report said. It was reported at 1:13 p.m. Thursday. The loss was $200.

A theft from a vehicle was reported at Little Corona Beach at 11:39 a.m. Thursday. The theft occurred between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 16, and the loss was a bike worth $435. Police also took a report of a commercial burglary at 600 Newport Center Drive at 5:37 p.m. Sunday. The burglary occurred between 4:21 and 5:15 p.m., and the loss was $11,870, a report said.
