Back Bay Drive Closed to Vehicles Next Week

Back Bay Drive between San Joaquin Hills Road and Eastbluff Drive will be closed to cars from Monday through Friday next week, according to the Newport Beach city website.
The closure is to allow contractors to replace a drainage pipe. Construction will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“Bicyclists and pedestrians will be permitted to use a portion of the roadway throughout the week, but are asked to exercise caution when approaching the construction area and to comply with any project safety requirements (i.e, avoiding any lane or area closed for construction),” the website says.
