A woman’s body that was discovered in a dumpster in San Diego County could be the victim of a Newport Coast homicide, according to a news release.

Newport Beach detectives responded to the 12000 block of Wildcat Canyon Road in the Lakeside area of San Diego about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, the release said, regarding “an investigative lead in the disappearance and homicide of Quee ‘Q.C.’ Chadwick,” the release said.

“Newport Beach Police Detectives are currently working with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and San Diego County Medical Examiner to positively identify the remains,” the release said.

Peter Chadwick, 48, was arrested Oct. 11 in San Diego and is currently in the Orange County Jail. Police were called to the home of Chadwick and his wife, Quee “Q.C.” Chadwick, the day before when a neighbor called, concerned no one had picked up the couple’s children from school.

Police went to the couple’s home on Almanzora in Newport Coast and found evidence of a struggle and possible foul play. Newport Beach police began searching for the couple. Chadwick contacted San Diego police the next day and was arrested.

Police ask that anyone with information call the Newport Beach Police Department at (800) 550-NBPD or Det, Bryan Moore at (949) 644-3764. Messages may be left anonymously.
