Internet addiction, cyber bullying, sexting and privacy concerns — all topics that parents today contend with — will be discussed at a free public event scheduled at the Harbor Day School at 7 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 16.

The school’s Student Enrichment/ Parent Education committee is hosting the Cyber Ethics Presentation, which will feature Lori Getz, a cyber education specialist and founder of Cyber Education Consultants based in Woodland Hills.

“Join us for an evening lecture and open discussion about the next generation of technology,” an event flier states. “Our kids are already using it but are we keeping up?”

Topics will include how to balance parenting and spying using new parental monitoring software, cyber bulling, privacy concerns and more.

The event is free, but organizers request that you RSVP if you plan to attend; click here for more information.

The school is located at 3443 Pacific View Drive.
