I went to the library today and learned about African animals from a lady named Wendy. She showed us a hedgehog, a cockroach, a parrot, a snake, a scorpion, a hyrax and a huge turtle. I liked all the animals, but not really the cockroach or scorpion. We learned that the hedgehog covers itself in elephant poo to scare away other animals. Gross. It was a good show and I’m glad that my mom took us.
The library held the 45-minute show called Wild Wonder Wildlife as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations. Wild Wonders is a small zoo located near San Diego, and about 5 dozen children attended.
