Nearly 450 guests attended the 10th annual Crystal Cove Alliance gala last month, raising $238,000 that will fund restoration, education and conservation projects, according to a news release.
The Sept. 22 event, with the theme Ocean Treasures, was held on a bluff overlooking Crystal Cove.
“Ocean Treasures 2012 was a huge success and clearly demonstrates that this community is passionate about the protection and preservation of this magical place called Crystal Cove,” said Laura Davick, CCA founder and Director of External Affairs, in a statement. “As we wrap another wonderful campaign and set our sights on 2013, we do so with a huge debt of gratitude to the many sponsors, underwriters and all of our guests that contributed to this outstanding success.”
The sold-out event included an auction and a menu prepared by chefs of The Resort Pelican Hill, Montage Laguna Beach and the Beachcomber Cafe.
“Crystal Cove State Park is at the heart of some of our fondest memories, and we were proud to be honored by CCA in 2012,” said Gavin Herbert, president of Roger’s Gardens. Gavin and his wife, Kerry, were honored at the gala for their longtime support of the Crystal Cove Alliance.
