I wish they would stop delaying this project--turning onto the Coast Highway from Marguerite has always been hazardous. Every time I'm in my office, I hear screeches or honks from drivers experiencing near-misses. Thanks for the update on the signal, though.

Funny, i've never actually thought about where signal poles come from. Interesting to hear about the time it takes to order and take delivery of one. Looking forward to this. I always feel bad when i'm making a right from Marguerite onto PCH and seeing the disapointed person trying to make a left from Marguerite onto PCH across the way from me. Its like I took their one shot to go.

looking forward to the light, but always thought if the straight and turn left lane were togfether, it would work much better....

This really isn't a difficult intersection if people understood and followed the rules of the road. I've never seen more people confused by intersections than those in CDM. Everyday we see people stop when there is no stop sign, proceed through a stop when oncoming traffic doesn't have a stop, and can't figure out those tricky 4-way stops.

I wonder who the genius was that figured out there may be traffic in the summer. Maybe the same one who said they can't do it now because of the christmas holiday. What about Martin Luther King, Jr. Day? Valentine's Day? Presidents Day? Easter? Don't forget about Flag Day in June. Boy I hope they order those poles in time. How does any city ever install a traffic signal? You'd think by the sound of it we were planning a trip to the space station.
