The Corona del Mar High School pool lot has been reconfigured and now has two entrances — one for those parking cars and another for those dropping off or picking up students, according to an email sent from Middle School Principal Guy Olguin.
Drivers picking up or dropping off should use the driveway closest to Vista del Oro, while the driveway that is close to the lot’s center should be used by those planning to park, the email said. Click here to see a map of the lot’s new configuration.
“Officer (Vlad) Anderson will be helping direct traffic as we get used to the new configuration of traffic lanes and driveways designed by the city of Newport Beach,” the email said.
The administration lot will no longer be used for drop off or pickup, the email said.
“As always the earlier you can drop off students the better,” Olgin wrote. “Morning traffic really builds starting at 7:30. In the afternoon picking your student(s) up closer to 3:30 can really save you from the usual congestion.”
Students return to school Tuesday.
