A 55-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct while intoxicated near Corona del Mar’s Starbucks twice in four days, according to arrest reports.
The man, who told police he was from Newport Beach as well as from Costa Mesa, was arrested in the 2800 block of East Coast Highway at 9:37 a.m. Thursday. He was booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct while intoxicated, and his bail was $500.
Arrest reports indicate the man was arrested at the same located at 1:35 p.m. Sunday and booked on the same charge. Bail again was $500. The man said his occupation was groundskeeper.
In other police news, police responded to a report of a vehicle theft at Jasmine Avenue and Ocean Boulevard at 3:13 p.m. today, online logs state.
A petty theft with a loss of $411 occurred at 4:40 p.m. Saturday at 1133 Newport Center Drive, according to a report. The theft occurred between 3 and 3:15 p.m., the report said.
Officers arrested a 50-year-old Santa Fe Springs man at Marigold Avenue and Ocean Boulevard at 11:20 a.m. Sunday on suspicion of disorderly conduct while intoxicated, a report said. Bail was $500. Police also arrested a 23-year-old Cypress man at Bayview Drive and Heliotrope Avenue at 3:39 p.m. Sunday on suspicion of receiving stolen property. Bail was $20,000, a report said.
