EDITED to update magnitude and add information about a third quake.
A 4.5-magnitude earthquake that occurred late Tuesday caused no injuries or damage, officials said.
The earthquake struck at 11:23 p.m. about two miles from Yorba Linda, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was followed less than a minute later by a 2.7 aftershock.
A third quake measuring 4.5 also occurred at 9:33 a.m. today.
Orange County Sheriff’s Harbor Patrol officers made checks at 12:18 a.m. today of structures and bridges for structural damage, according to the department’s online blotter.
The Orange County Fire Authority’s Facebook page announced that the quake caused no damage or injuries.
Some Corona del Mar residents said they felt the quake. In June, Corona del Mar residents also felt a 4.1 earthquake also centered in Yorba Linda; read our story here.
