B.Candy will close its current Corona del Mar location Monday and will reopen in an expanded space later this summer, owner Brandy Valdez confirmed in an interview.
The candy store opened at 3617 East Coast Highway in April 2011; read our story here. Late last year, Valdez announced the shop would relocate to a larger location at 3100 East Coast Highway.
In January, the city’s Zoning Administrator granted permission for the new shop to sell candy and ice cream; read our story here.
The expanded B.Candy shop will have a soda fountain, a kitchen for freshly made baked goods for a “bakery boutique” and have bulk candy dispensers, Valdez said. The shop also will sell toys.
The opening date has not been set, but Valdez said anyone with special orders can call (949) 675-3910 for assistance.
