Single-Car Crash Knocks Down Pole, Sends One to Hoag

A single-vehicle collision damaged a light pole and sent one person to the hospital at East Coast Highway and MacArthur Boulevard, police said.
Details about the cause of the crash were not immediately known. The crash occurred at 10:56 a.m.
The crash damaged the light pole, and city crews were working to repair it about an hour later. The light pole was lying on the sidewalk near Rothschild’s Restaurant.
The driver was taken to Hoag Hospital, police said.
