Woman’s Stolen Diamond Ring Reappears

A Corona del Mar woman who told police that her $8,000 diamond ring was stolen off her finger while she slept in her locked room has the jewelry back in her possession, police said this week.
The woman, who lives in the Belmont Village of Crown Cove community at 3901 East Coast Highway, reported the theft last month.
Police this week said the ring had been recovered. It was not clear if it had been misplaced or had been stolen and returned. Read our earlier coverage of the story here.
